Charity Work
With the Christmas season upon us, the spirit of giving should be in full swing. The idea of doing something bigger than yourself should be on your list, not just now but throughout the year. Why?
I believe it’s what we’re called to do. That is, be of service to others. No matter what your background, experience, or religion you should ALWAYS BE wanting to reach out and help other people.
But do you fully embrace that idea? Is it part of your creed and personality? Or is it something to just talk about?
I certainly don’t want to come across “holier than thou” because, just like all human beings, I make mistakes (likely more than anyone). 🙂
Here’s what should be important. Follow your heart. Determine what’s right for you, given your circumstances and situation.
Perhaps you’re not in a position to give $1,000 to a nonprofit. But maybe you could throw a couple bucks into the bell ringer’s pot in front of Walmart? Or donate a few cans of nonperishable items to your church’s food drive?

You see, whether you believe it or not, that act of giving serves a higher purpose. Even if that act (or maybe especially if the act) only benefits one other individual.
Before donating to a nonprofit, you’re encouraged to research to ensure the legitimacy of it. How do you do that? Charity Navigator is a good start.
Charity Navigator is the world’s largest and most utilized nonprofit evaluator. It gives you free access to invaluable tools and data of charitable organizations.
Don’t just give your time or hard-earned money blindly. Perform a little due diligence and be wise about your philanthropy.
In conclusion, I invite you this holiday season to be a part of something bigger than yourself. There are certainly MANY worthy causes to get involved with.
You could even become involved with my philanthropy work. My heart is closely tied to the Tim Tebow Foundation. Tim’s endeavors and ministries help SO MANY people it’s difficult not to want to be a part of that.
If you’d like to join me in supporting Tim’s belief in providing faith, hope and love to those in need of a brighter day than you are welcome to us.
There are a couple of ways to become involved:
- Join my launch team. The launch team is your opportunity to shine for something bigger than yourself. We’re looking for individuals with various talents.
- Participate in a reading challenge. We’re hosting a new challenge every three (3) months. There’s likely one going on now. Be sure to check it out. They’re so much fun.
If you’d like, please list below how you are planning or have already been involved with charity work. I’d love to read your story. 🙂
Wishing you all the best this holiday season and ALWAYS. And may 2021 be your best year ever.
